Privacy Policy

Tickwell for Mac, iPhone and iPad

Last updated: 17 October 2026

This policy covers Tickwell on all platforms: the Mac app and the iPhone/iPad app.

Summary

Tickwell does not collect any data. There is no account, no sign-in, and no server operated by us. If you are signed into iCloud, the app can keep its task file in your personal iCloud account — that traffic goes directly to Apple's iCloud, never to us. Everything you enter otherwise stays on your own device.

What we collect

Nothing. Tickwell has no analytics, no crash reporting, no advertising identifiers, and no telemetry of any kind. We have no way of knowing who uses the app or what they put in it, and iCloud sync does not change that — your data goes from your device to your iCloud account, not to us.

Where your data lives

Your projects, tasks, labels and settings are written to a single file inside the app's own sandbox container on your device (on a Mac, ~/Library/Containers/com.wmr.tickwell/). If you're signed into iCloud, that same file is also kept in the app's private iCloud container under your own Apple ID, using Apple's iCloud service. The app has no other network access: it does not contact any server of ours or any third party.

Files you choose

Tickwell does not read or write any file on your device other than its own task file.

Permissions

Tickwell does not ask for access to your photos, camera, microphone, location, contacts or calendars.

Third-party services

None. Tickwell contains no third-party SDKs, frameworks or services.

Children's privacy

Tickwell collects no information from anyone, including children under 13.
